About Rob Stone

Rob Stone Rob Stone is a disabled artist living in Bethesda, Maryland. Rob uses multiple techniques to create his art, including using his finger, knuckle or hand prints to create a base image. His assistant works with him to fill in details under his direction. Rob also uses a 'drop' technique to create yarn collages that are glued into place where they've fallen. And he uses active line drawing to create abstract images. Finally, he uses his eyes with a computer program to create Pollack-style abstract art.

Rob is also a health care and disability rights activist. He is a member of Little Lobbyists, a family-led group that advocates for the health care needs of children with complex medical conditions and disabilities. Rob has testified in the Maryland General Assembly on disability issues. He regularly visits Capitol Hill to meet with legislators. Rob is a 2020 graduate of The Arc of Maryland's Partners in Policymaking program.
